We have always had a passion for buildings and interior design and lighting is a crucial element in the design of every building or interior.

New advances in LED lighting combined with sophisticated control systems enable designers to create stunning buildings and interiors. It is the lighting of such spaces that we call the Fourth Dimension.

However, despite all of the technology, in the end it all comes down to one simple question -

Nicholas Engert
Partner
Nicholas Engert has been involved in the interior design industry for over 30 years, having been originally influenced by some of the great designers of the past including Billy Baldwin, David Hicks and Mark Hampton.
​
Nicholas now specialises in lighting design for residential and commercial interiors bringing the “fourth dimension” to the spaces created by architects, designers and their clients.
Adrienne Engert
Partner
Adrienne is a partner and is responsible for marketing, client relations and PR as well as invaluable back office support.
Melissa Stears
Senior Lighting Consultant
Melissa Stears is a senior lighting consultant with Fourth Dimension Lighting Design.
She opted to specialise in lighting design soon after graduating in architecture and urban design.​
Her interest in the built environment and how light forms and transforms our relationship to it is why she decided to specialise in this facet of architecture.​
Finding the perfect balance of the science behind light and the aesthetics of the visual environment is what sparked her interest in working in this medium and she strives to achieve this balance on every project.
